The following year, already in Brazil, was approved in the contest of Doctorate by the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre. Due to the tumultuous agenda, Leonardo preferred to give up teaching at UNESC Medical School, in Espírito Santo, and began to dedicate his appointments in his private clinic, but without giving up his link of dermatology in the Unified Health System, where is insolvent. In 2014, he was invited to give a lecture to doctors residing in dermatology in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. And in 2015, he had accepted work at the World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver, Canada, where he also had the opportunity to lecture on health dermatology for hundreds of professionals.
Specialist in Dermatology by the Brazilian Society of Dermatology (SBD) and the Brazilian Medical Association (AMB), the doctor did not stop there and decided to continue his studies, and after a new competition promoted by AMB, he started to compose a select group, with about 200 physicians, of medical specialists by the Brazilian Society of Hansenology (SBH), where he is also a full member.
